The Return

Though The Pocket Review staff recently took a hiatus from publishing our one short story every month, Jen, D., and I -- all of us -- have been busy working on ways to make the magazine stronger. Now, we're back with a message: Pocket is roaring again... and this time we brought money.
Pocket will now be paying $0.10 per word for accepted short stories (up to $200).
In the meantime, D., Jen, and I have been kicking around the idea of a writers' workshop. Each of us, after all, is a creative writing instructor at a university. Each of us knows writers who live (and write bestselling novels and critically acclaimed short stories/poetry) in the Midwest United States. We're in the process of putting together something I call The Fresh Ink Factory -- the first of The Pocket Review's creative writing "bootcamps."
